In late 2011, LGPOA-Austin members donated two truck loads of food and personal items to the victims of the Bastrop wild fires. LGPOA-Austin members also volunteered to work overnight shifts assisting firefighters and other law enforcement agencies.
LGPOA-Austin also received a donation of household items and furniture that could fill up an entire house. The donation was sent to the victims of the wild fires and made in loving memory of Kyoko Manavich, 1937-2011.
